1. How do you buy an engine over the Internet? Is it safe?

Although we make extensive use of the Internet to help you view our engines, we do not process any payments through our website for your security. Once you have decided which engine you wish to purchase, you can call us toll free at 1-800-270-5712 and one of our agents would be happy to process your order.

2. What types of payment do you accept?

We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club credit cards and can process these payments immediately over the phone. We also accept bank wire transfers and bank drafts, and are setup to accept payments over the Pay pal online payment system.

3. Where do these JDM engines come from and what is included with the package?

All of our JDM packages come as complete "long-block" assemblies, which . All of our engines are pulled from running cars in Japan. All our JDM engines are imported directly from our own warehouse in Japan, and we pick the most cleanest and low mileage motors possible. Most of our engines do comes with the uncut harness and the stock motormounts too.

4. How many miles are on these engines?

All our engines are hand picked and we strive to have the cleanest, lowest mileage JDM engines available to anyone in North America. Typically, our engines have 10,000-35,000 miles on them at the time they are pulled from the donor vehicle. However, we cannot tell you exactly how many miles your particular engine will come with. Unless the entire front half of the vehicle is purchased (front clips are available) there is no way for any JDM importer to verify true mileage. Be wary of any JDM engine dealer than claims otherwise. Several importers have been known to purchase low mileage gauge clusters and package them with their engines as "proof" of a particular engine mileage. Be aware of this scam, since gauge clusters do not have serial numbers to match them to specific motors.

5. Do I need other parts to swap this engine into my car?

This is perhaps the most common question we get asked here are at Osaka by people looking to add a larger motor into their import car. Unfortunately, the short answer is yes; any engine will fit into any car if you have enough time and money. We strongly recommend you do your own research into these questions, and the Internet is a wonderful place to start. Our business specialty is sourcing top quality JDM engines and parts and bringing them to North America at the lowest cost possible. As hard core race enthusiasts ourselves, we have assisted and swapped dozens of engines, however, we are not a performance shop and we do not do installations. It is strict company policy that our staff not give any advice on the actual installation process, since we are not in the installation business. We sell parts, period. However, our expert staff can recommend the swap type that is best suited for your particular vehicle.

6. How long does shipping take?

In stock engines and large body parts take 3-7 business days to arrive at your door. For engines not in stock, delivery time may vary. They are shipped via ground freight, and all our engines are professionally wrapped on 4x4 skids to ensure a safe arrival at your destination. We STRONGLY recommend having engines delivered directly to the shop or location that you are having the engine installed, since they are VERY heavy to move around without the aid of a lift or engine crane.
